Landscapes

The subject of every painting is energy, the process of working with tube paints, oil pigment sticks, or acrylics, and a theme.  I paint landscapes because I love to look at landscape images as part of my larger world, and I paint still life objects because they provide basic simple forms, containers, and food images. I paint on location to capture brief moments, and then keep these smaller works prominent in the studio as I work on larger canvases, maintaining the energy of the first inspirations.
